Project
The project Moldova Noua Windfarm is situated in the south-west part of Romania, in Caras-Severin county near the village of Sfanta Elena at 12 km from the city of Moldova Noua and consists of 21 wind turbines with a total power of 48,3MW.

Scope of Services
We were contracted by the company Strabag as general contractor for the execution for Medium Voltage & High Voltage Network and Power Substations Works. The order included medium voltage cabling; fiber optical cabling (SCADA System); copper wiring for grounding, Producer Substation (collecting the 33kV lines from the wind turbines and transforming to 110kV, grid substation with connection to 110kV overhead transmission line and covered the complete design, execution and commissioning of the systems.

Total length of the MV cables: 52.000 m
Total length of the cooper wires: 20.500 m
Total length of the fiber optic cables: 29.000 m

Highlights
The construction works are very difficult, due to the fact that the project is situated on hill country and the soil is consisiting mainly in rock material.
