Project
Since 16th of July 2016 the new stadium deserves the spiritual slogan of the Rapid community. The Allianz Stadium is built on the site of the 1977 West Stadium, later renamed to the Gerhard-Hanappi-Stadium.

Investor and fans frenetically desired the opening match and were excited by the test tournament against FC Chelsea in the brand-new homeland and and fully operated building.

LSG Building Solutions Vienna was leading manager in a joint venture with Hopferwieser and Steinmayr Ltd. for design an erection of the whole technical systems of the new stadium.

Power supply and high voltage system
emergency power system (diesel powered)
Earthing and lightning protection system
Electrical installations and low voltage installations
Interior as well as exterior lighting and floodlights
EIB/KNX control system
Fire alarm system and Voice Alarm System
Emergency lighting system and indoor radio system
Access control and video surveillance
technical equipment for people with disabilities (Audio/Video)

Key Figures
capacity of 28,500 for domestic league games of which 2000 are business and VIP seats
41 corporate boxes plus two event boxes each with a spacious 87 square meters
Floodlighting power: approx. 90.000W
Installed length of cable trays: approx. 6,5km
Amount of copper in cables: approx. 45 to.
period of performance: Dec. 2014 to July 2016

Highlights
In contrast to the Hanappi Stadium, the corners have been closed and now offer an increased amount of seating capacity whilst minimizing noise pollution for local inhabitants.
The Allianz Stadium meets all criteria stipulated by UEFA in Category 4 and is therefore entitled to host international matches.
