After several phases of execution, and a numerous work interruptions and waiting for approvals and permits, the Westgate Tower, now renamed Dalmatia Tower, was finally opened on Monday, July 17, 2023. The people of Split can finally enjoy the view of the largest and most exclusive building in Split, Dalmatia and Croatia in general. At the end of 2017, the Westgate Tower project received the International Property Award for the best multi-storey building in Europe.

Located at the intersection of Domovinsko rata Street and Dubrovnik Street, Dalmatia Tower is part of the Westgate Tower complex, which consists of two towers; the first, which has been 2016 the seat of the Management Board of Splitska banka, today OTP banka, and the second, Dalmatia Tower – which was initially called Westgate Tower B. This project created a new architectural value in Croatia and enriched the urban value of Split.

After the external construction was completed and the glass facade was fully installed, the execution of mechanical installations, automatic fire extinguishing system – sprinklers, water supply and drainage, and construction-craftsmanship works began.

In the tower, the Marriott Hottel is located from the 17th to the 27th floor, the world’s most prestigious hotel chain. It is the first AC hotel from the Marriott portfolio in Croatia. On the floors below the hotel are the offices of Rimac Automobili and several other world-renowned IT companies.

We used to admire the tallest buildings of America, China or Saudi Arabia, but now it is enough to “jump” to Split, which with this attractive building confirms that it belongs among the great world capitals.
